"HE THAT LOVETH HIS BROTHER ABIDETH IN THE LIGHT, AND THERE IS NONE OCCASION
OF STUMBLING IN HIM"
1John 2:10
Dear Fellow Missionary in Christ:
On Wednesday, October 31st, 2001, to Wednesday, November 14th, we will (by our Lord's wonderful grace) be distributing
the Gospel in India to those who reside in the darkness of unbelief. Our focus will be three cities in the general
area of Bombay/Mumbai.
Goa is a former Portuguese colony that became an Indian State in 1987. It has a population of over One and a half
million people. The cities to be visited labor in a traditional Catholic legacy of centuries of Portuguese rule.
Our intention is to distribute the truth of God's Word, so that our LORD might open blind eyes to salvation.
Our first city to be visited will be Panjim in the state of Goa which has a population of well over one hundred
thousand people. These cities that we will visit have Hindu beliefs and customs that are interwoven with some basic
knowledge of Christianity. We know well that "faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God"
Romans 10-17, and so our Mission will be a teaching one through the Word of God.
Our second city will be Belgaum which we will reach after departing Panjim. It is in the northwestern state of
Karnataka. It has a population of 600,000. The city is a picture of daily activity. There are busy bus and train
stations and a constant large number of people shopping in the markets
Hubli is also in the state of Karnataka and it has a population of over 800,000 people. Hubli is a major railway
junction on the routes from Bombay to Bangalore and accordingly, this will provide many occasions to witness.
Pray about your joining up with our Family Radio Mission group in serving our LORD. We will need as many people
as possible to meet with this great opportunity of service. Those who are in the "family of God" have
a duty to carry the banner of deliverance to the captives, and we must unashamedly carry it forward. Family Radio
and our extended family of listeners have traveled all over the world bringing God's Word, and within our Lord's
grace, will continue on until He returns.
Please contact us as soon as possible should you prayerfully decide to join us or support (partially or fully)
a missionary who is in need of help with costs.
In Christ's service:

"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that
I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."
~John 6:63~
After a brief fellowship and an early breakfast our teams went out to several busy areas around the city of Panjim.
Today we had our first full day of "Does God Love You" tract distribution. We visited several markets,
bus stops, bus depots, shopping areas, and a Ferry boat landing area. The reception of our tracts continue to be
quite good. Our hotel is centrally located and one of our teams was able to walk to the busiest markets in the
city.
Another team worked at the busiest bus station in the city. Very few tracts were discarded and many people observed
intently reading and discussing its message. In India the public buses are usually not air conditioned therefore
the windows are left wide open in order to protect the passengers from the oppressive heat and humidity. This makes
it ideal for giving out the tracts through the windows. It is joyful, but hard work, as one has to do a lot of
walking, stretching, and climbing while at the same time carrying a backpack full of tracts. We are so thankful
that God provides the extra strength and stamina to do His work.
A team of 3 missionaries travelled by public bus to the city of Mapusa. It is the cheapest way to travel in India.
It cost each of us the equivalent of 12 cents in the U.S. money for the 40 minute journey. We worked here at a
large bus depot that was next to a huge market that sold a wide variety of perishable and non perishable goods.
It was an extremely busy area and we had no difficulty sharing thousands of tracts in a few hours time. Fridays
and Saturdays are usually the busiest days and everyone seems to come to the markets for shopping. Most people
use public transportation and this gives us a great opportunity to share the gospel with a diverse cross section
of the community. Rich and poor flock to the market and shopping areas.
Two of our missionaries were approached by a middle aged man asking questions about the Bible and specifically
the information on the tract he had received from us an hour earlier. He told us that he was Catholic, but he was
having some grave doubts about their teachings. He spoke English fluently. He then said that he believes that his
church should stick to the Bible only; and that he thinks that salvation is through Christ alone and by grace alone.
We told him that his thoughts were biblical and also that salvation is 100% the work of God. We invited him to
our nightly bible studies so that we can present him with additional Family Radio materials.
Several people asked us about the situation in America and about us being afraid to travel by plane. This affords
us an opportunity to tell them that our only security is in Christ. He is in total control. We fear Him and not
man. He has given us a command to "Go ye into all the world with the gospel" and it is not qualified
by the circumstances of this world.
We purchased a large quantity of Bibles for distribution to the people, and we have begun to present them to those
who truly desire one. We thank God for those who continue to donate the necessary funds for this endeavor.
On our return journey from Mapusa, a young man about 13 years old and his mother sat across from us on the bus.
He asked us for a tract in English and Hindi, we gave him both. He immediately started to read the English tract.
When he was finished, he read the Hindi tract to his mom, discussing the contents with her and comparing the two.
This went on for forty minutes, the duration of the trip. Our hope and prayer is that God might be merciful to
this family and to many others in this city.

same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing"

"And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us: This
is the LORD; we have waited for Him, we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation."
- Isaiah 25:9
After working in the city of Panjim the past two days, our leader decided it was best for the 3 teams to carry
the Gospel message to two smaller cities and a beach coastal area. The main reason is to spread the Gospel into many
different areas. Another reason is that on Saturdays the local markets are bustling with vendors and shoppers.
The reception to the DGLY? Tracts continue to be good, everywhere we go. There is one minor problem; Because of
the various languages spoken here, we are forced to ask which of the two common languages of the tracts is preferred;
Marathi or English. This tends to slow the pace of our distribution slightly. Some only read English and others
only Marathi. Once in a while someone comes along that wants Hindi, which is the National language of India, but
very few people here read it. We carry around a handful of these tracts for this very purpose. Most of the students
prefer English and the business people likewise. This caused us to deplete our supply of the English tracts. Mr.
Sumanth, our leader, had a few thousand more English tracts printed. Tonight we will start folding them in order
that they may be easily distributed.
One of our teams traveled by bus to the city of PONDA. This is an industrial area, with many factories. There are
lots of working-class people there and most are poor. We worked in and around the Bus Depot and the many shops
that cater to the traveling public. We also visited a large market where the poor laborers and vendors buy and
sell their goods. Some of them could not read but took a tract nevertheless. In India it is not unusual for those
who can't read to have someone read the tract to them.
Another team went to a beach coastal area called CALANGUTE and at first was quite disappointed because very few
people were accepting the tracts. After a while they were told that they were in an area where many immigrants
from Thailand were living and working. The missionaries quickly took out only English tracts and most who did not
take one before now it was the only tract they could read. One professing believer informed the team that he is
a long-time listener tot the Family Radio shortwave programs to India. He mentioned that Mr. Camping and Pastor
Otero are his favorite Bible teachers. The third team went to MARGOA. This is a commercial area, a railway station
is located here. There is also a nearby city square, a very busy market and a shopping center. Many here had a
preference for English tracts and they were soon out of their supply. A man approached one of the team and said
"are you a messenger of God?" He replied "you've got it right" the man smiled and then continued
on his way. We are all messengers of God, as we share the true Gospel with these dear people. We do so boldly,
but with much humility, always mindful that 'but for the Grace of God' we would be in the most horrible situation
possible, under the wrath of God and headed for hell.
Brethren, please pray for us, that God will continue to guide us in thought, word and deed as we serve Him. Also,
please pray for the people, that God in His mercy might open the spiritual eyes and ears of many.
"The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how
to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, He wakeneth mine ear to hear as
the learned".

"For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth".
~Acts 13:47~
Today, on this Sabbath day, we decided to have our worship service in the evening instead of the morning. This
allowed us to send our teams outside several churches in order to distribute our tracts explaining the true Gospel
of salvation. Most of the offices and businesses were closed. There weren't many people in the streets. In spite
of that, many tracts were given out and the overall reception was excellent. We visited a sporting event , a large
market and some movie theaters. The people were very thankful for the tracts and bibles and other Family Radio
booklets we gave out. There were some opposition to what we were doing though. One of our missionaries was sharing
tracts when an irate man came and started to revile him. Our missionary tried to walk away, but he took one of
the tracts and ripped it up in pieces. Our missionary patiently picked up the pieces and as soon as he raised up
his head many in the crowd of by-standers had their hands stretched out wanting a tract to see what was causing
all the commotion. God in His mercy had used a negative situation and turned it into a positive one. The man then
walked away and our missionary continued to share hundreds of additonal tracts in that area.
Three of us hired a motorized rickshaw for the day. The driver who spoke a little English but understood what we
wanted to do took us where small groups of people congregate. We would get out of the rickshaw and quickly share
tracts, then hop on again and reported the same procedure until our tracts were depleted. Our steps included a
busy market, the only one open on Sundays in this city. There we met a young Hindu girl selling vegetables who
asked us for a bible, one of us was carrying. After we told her it wouldn't cost her anything her eyes lit up and
she was elated that she would have the word of God in her own language. Tomorrow, God willing we plan to work in
the city center and some outlying areas. We thank God for Family Radio staff, volunteers, and supporters who work
together to send forth this precious gospel to the nations of the world.

Report #5
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service."
Romans 12:1
Today is Monday and the city of Panjim came alive with people everywhere expecially at the Central Bus Depot. A
team arrived there early and worked diligently to share as many tracts as humanly possible. The reception was great
and many people approached us with questions about Family Radio and the School of the Bible.
One team went to the large Public Hospital and gave many tracts to the Hospital personel, clinic outpatients, patients,
and visitors. Some of us travelled back and forth on the free Ferry Boat that transports people across the river,
sharing with the passengers. Everywhere we go the police and security guards were very tolerant and patient with
us. Most of the people are kind and gracious, some even offering tea or sodas.
A man, who had received a tract previously, came to the Hotel asking help to find salvation. He told us that he
is heavily burdened with sin. He was pointed to the scriptures and encouraged to read the Bible for himself, pleading
to God as the publican of old. Our prayer is that God may grant unto him and the thousands that received our tracts
repentance unto salvation.
Two of our missionaries were cursed and reviled again, but we thank our Lord that He has restrained the hands of
those who seek to hurt us. Anytime we proclaim the true Gospel, some people get really offended and the persecution
can come from the church or the world: but it is not unexpected. We thank our God that these incidents are few
and a testing program to see how we will react. Tomorrow God willing we plan to work for a few hours in the morning
and leave on a train for the second city we plan to visit, namely Belgaum. Therefore our 6th report will be Wednesday
Novermber 7th. Please pray that God will prepare the hearts of many in that city to receive His word.
"Let thy mercies come also unto me, O Lord, even thy salvation, according to thy
word.

"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come. "
Matthew 24:14
After a one hour bus ride and six hours traveling by train our group of 10 missionaries arrived
safely at our hotel in the city of BELGAUM. While on the train we were allowed to distribute our tracts to the
passengers and staff. A university graduate student who had received a tract, a few hours earlier, came looking
for the missionary who had given him the tract. He told us that he came from a Hindu upper caste and was not exposed
to this Gospel or to much Christianity, but he was troubled and wanted to learn more. Two of us explained in detail
the True Gospel of salvation. We gave him some additional Family Radio materials. He also wanted a bible. He was
so attentive that he nearly missed his stop, we promised to leave him a bible at the hotel where we would be staying
in the city of Hublie. He will collect it when he returns to school in that city.
Today one of our teams hired a small van with a driver and visited six schools. They took with them several hundred
bibles and thousands of tracts to give to the students. The principals and teachers had the students all line up
to collect our tracts. It was done quite orderly and the students were very disciplined. One of the principals
made a statement to the students that we came from the U.S. to share the tracts and Bibles, because of our great
love for them. It was a true statement. Because we realize that God has bestowed His great love upon sinners like
us; and has further given us a love for our fellow man, we find joy in obedience to this command to "Love
thy neighbor as thyself" We therefore offer them the words of eternal life.
Tomorrow, God willing we have five additional schools and colleges on our itinerary. We have permission from the
principals to distribute the "Does God Love You?" tracts to all the students. We also plan to give Bibles
to anyone who wants one. Another team went to a bustling shipping area in the heart of the city and tested out
several areas to gauge the reception and interest in our tracts. There was no opposition to our presence and the
reception was excellent. By God's grace we shall continue distribution tomorrow in many busy areas in the city
and outlying villages.
Three of our missionaries were forced to remain in the Hotel because of illness. Stomach viruses seem to be the
problem. Please pray that God will grant us health and strength to continue His work ; and for the thousands of
students and others, who were eager and willing to accept the tracts, His grace and mercy.
"And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads:
they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

"For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven".
-Psalm 119: 89
Our gracious Lord has given us another day to serve Him:, and we consider it a priviledge to do His will. We thank
Him for His protection and provision for us. We are happy to report that two of the three missionaries who were
ill yesterday are feeling much better and back with their teams working diligently. We give much thanks to God
for being so merciful to us. One team went to three colleges and a High school this morning. They had appointments
to share tracts and bibles to the staff and students. They went from one classroom to the next sharing the precious
Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Everyone was friendly and open to the Gospel message we were bringing.
We usually go out twice in a day, morning and afternoon the streets are crowded and it is an ideal time for tract
distribution.
Another team took an auto- rickshaw to the main Bus Terminals. They worked consistently all day at these very busy
stations with only a short break for lunch. Many thousands of tracts were given out at these locations and the
reception was very good. Only a small number was discarded, and people waiting for their buses were reading intently.
There were also many visitors from North India and our Hindi tracts came in handy. We offer the tract to anyone
who will accept it, consequently we share with many homeless people. One man stood out very much. He was lying
on the sidewalk in rags for clothes full of sores and covered with flies. When we approached, his eyes opened wide
with anticipation as he stretched forth a hand taking the tract, he started reading it. He reminded us of Lazarus
in Luke 16. Please pray for this man and the countless others who might be adequately fed and clothed but nevertheless
are in the same horrible predicament spiritually, if unsaved. We do know that God will seek out His lost sheep
wherever they are and bring them into the kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; only because they have found
grace in His sight. He is not a respecter of persons (Romans 11). The Bible distribution is going well. An evangelist
traveled by bus for three hours one way to ask for some bibles for his village. He was very grateful for the small
quantity we gave him. Anytime we give a bible to someone they are very appreciative. Bibles are not readily available
and also many cannot afford one. Tomorrow is our last day of tract distribution in BELGAUM. We have a lot of work
to do there, we plan to go into the streets early. Please continue to pray for our well-being and more importantly
that God will draw many to Himself.

"Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved".
- Acts 4:12
We completed our distribution in BELGAUM yesterday. It was a blessed day as we worked feverishly to share as many
tracts as possible.
One team visited the largest hospital and was able to give out tracts to some of the staff, clinic patients and
visitors until someone was offended by the Gospel message and they were politely asked to leave. They, then moved
to a busy shopping area, where there was a market that had every conceivable merchandise. Needless to say, people
were out shopping, visiting each other or just loitering. The people were very receptive.
"Roving rickshaw" started out early in the morning, going to the bus stops to catch the early commuters.
They went to three additional schools with over a thousand students each, markets, street junctions and many areas
where people had congregated. They were working out of backpacks and boxes of tracts and were out all day. While
they were outside of one of the schools someone had called a policeman, who marched one of our missionaries to
the police precinct. He explained to the officer in charge what he was doing, who after looking at the tract for
a minute, promptly informed the arresting officer to set him free because he couldn't see what wrong was being
done. The other officers all took tracts and our missionary rejoined the team and continued his work.
Early this morning the group traveled by bus to our last stop, the city of HUBLIE. On our way we stopped at a small
town to distribute tracts, and we arrived safely in time for lunch. Soon after we loaded our backpacks and started
our work here. Five students who are enrolled in the Family Radio school of the Bible met us at the hotel and joined
us in our tract distribution. Two teams worked at large bus stops.
Once again we had a good reception to our tracts, some even stopped to ask questions and to offer encouragement.
The heat, humidity, dust and vehicle exhaust fumes can be suffocating at times but we rejoice when someone accepts
the tract. We know that God is truly merciful, and righteous and that He will have mercy and compassion upon whom
He will have compassion. We thank our Blessed Saviour that His mercies are renewed every morning, great is His
faithfulness!

"Be patient therefore brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold the husbandman
waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until He receive the early and latter
rain."
- James 5:7
We decided to have our own worship service in the evening so that we could continue sharing the Gospel tracts with
the people of HUBLI. Sunday is usually a slow day in this city. Most people stay at home with their families, but
there were a few markets, shopping areas and the usual bus depots that afforded us the opportunity to distribute
a large quantity of tracts. The reception continues to be excellent. We also had a lot of visitors at our fellowship
including a few Hindus and a Muslim man. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will apply His Word to the hearts of
many here.
We expect to receive our supply of Bibles for this city tomorrow. There was a problem with the shipping, nevertheless,
we plan to distribute all of them before we leave. Mr. Sumanth who is on the staff at Family Radio School of the
Bible has been instrumental in setting up these trips and he is kept quite busy with all the work involved in the
delivery of tracts, purchasing Bibles, hotel accommodations, and a myriad of tasks a trip like this entails. We
thank God for using him to His glory. Please pray that the Lord will guide him as he sets up the next India mission
trip. By God's Grace, the door is still open in India. Our fervent prayer is that He will raise up faithful men
and women to bring the true Gospel to the people of India and that to the nations of the world. We are reminded
of God's Word to us in Luke 1:74-75- "That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand
of the enemies, might serve Him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before Him, all the days lf our lives."
Tomorrow is our last day of tract distribution and God willing we plan to visit many schools, colleges, a large
public hospital, bus stations and busy shopping areas. We look forward to a blessed day of sharing God's Word.
This is our final report, since we plan to leave by bus early Tuesday morning on our return journey to PANJIM.
There, God willing we will fly to Bombay. From there we will all travel via London to our respective destinations.
We are truly humbled as we see the Lord's guidance and protection these past two weeks. We thank God for the opportunity
to serve Him. Please pray that God will strengthen us to complete His work, and for traveling mercies.
The Mission team to Goa wishes to express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Family Radio listeners, staff
and volunteers for their prayers and support. This has been a source of encouragement to us. May God bless you
all.
"Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ."
